Getting started
Where can I download AnnoBoost Free?
Use Download in the menu to get the installer or Portable ZIP. No account, email verification, payment or license activation is required. Start AnnoBoost Free to open its workspace directly.
Which features are included?
The Free edition includes manual BBox creation and editing, saving, YOLO/COCO/VOC export, data augmentation, training and auto-label candidates. Review and correct AI candidates before export. Manual annotation and standard export work offline without a GPU.
Windows and AI setup
Which Windows and GPU environment do I need?
The build targets Windows x64 and has been tested on Windows 11. No Windows ARM, macOS or Linux build is provided. Training and auto-labeling require an NVIDIA GPU and a successful CUDA check in setup diagnostics. VRAM needs vary with image size and training settings. Image augmentation runs on CPU.
How much storage and time does AI setup need?
Open More > Setup when you need AI. Initial setup downloads the runtime and requires internet access. On one development PC it took about 12 minutes and used about 11.5 GB including caches. Reserve at least 20 GB on the Windows user-data drive, plus space for images and models. Portable ZIP uses the same user-data location. These measurements are examples; time and size vary by PC, connection and version.
What if Windows blocks the app or setup fails?
Do not disable Windows Security. Check the download source, publisher and SHA-256 against the official download page. Code signing verifies publisher and integrity; it does not guarantee that SmartScreen will show no warning. Keep the exact error message and app version. For WinError 206, shortening only the ZIP extraction path may not help because the AI runtime uses Windows user data. Manual annotation can continue without AI setup.
Data and existing users
Are my images, labels or models collected?
The Free edition works with these files locally and does not automatically upload them or diagnostics. AI setup downloads required components. Share feedback or error details only voluntarily, excluding personal information and confidential data.
What happens to the licensed edition and my subscription?
AnnoBoost Free uses separate settings and AI runtime storage. Existing licensed installations, data and access checks remain separate. Existing billing and renewal terms do not change automatically. Use Licensed-edition billing in the footer to review your account.
